Metrocon 2026 recap - sorry the photos look a little weird

I wasn’t planning on going to Metrocon this year but at the last minute I had an opportunity to volunteer with Reset Gaming in the arcade. There are a lot of video games that I can’t really play anymore because of the nerve damage in my hands so I’ve been looking for some other way to participate in the community. I spent the weekend setting up consoles, renting out controllers, troubleshooting issues with the games, answering questions about the high score challenges, then disassembling and packing everything up on Sunday and it was a lot of fun. I’ve been going to Metrocon since high school so it was really cool being able to help out like this.

I’ve never seen these games before – I couldn’t quite figure out the train simulator but I loved the typing game.

The only picture I got of my cosplay. I took off the lab coat pretty much immediately. None of the new cosplays I’ve been working on were ready in time but wearing something simple and comfortable was a better idea anyway.
